Do you have some spare time that would allow you to volunteer for FACTS?
We rely on a tremendous team of volunteers to provide accessible transport, helping members of our community of all ages remain active and independent - getting to and from medical appointments, going shopping, attending clubs, social activities or visiting family and friends.
We need some more help to sustain, deliver and develop our services. There's a number of ways in which you could get involved: whether that be as a driver (we are especially in need of drivers who hold a D1 driving licence to drive our three minibuses), a passenger assistant or perhaps you have other skills you could lend - you might be a dab hand at marketing, fund raising or be able to help us with some of the administration or support our Board of Trustees.
There's no minimum commitment - give up as much or as little time as you are able to spare.
We offer full training - 'MiDAS' is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme and is administered by the Community Transport Association. The scheme provides a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers and has been designed to enhance minibus driving standards and promote the safer operation of minibuses.
